Member Section: Announcement of Release March 2023

1.  Introduction

With this circular, Eurex Clearing announces the introduction of the next Member Section enhancements: Member Section Release March 2023, which will be available starting Monday, 27 March 2023.

The following changes and enhancements will be introduced with this release:

• Improved Emergency Notification function
• QCS Application - Confirmation of practical experience 

Production start: 27 March 2023

All information related to this release, i.e. FAQs, guides, tutorial videos, are available on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurex.com/ec-en/ under the following path: Support > Initiatives & Releases > Member Section Releases > Release March 2023.

Clearing Members, Multi-Member Service Providers and ISVs are requested to get familiar with the updates described below.

Overview of functional enhancements:

Improved Emergency Notification function

This function is used to send emergency messages to Clearing Members via e-mail and text message in emergency situations. We will upgrade our internal technical infrastructure and introduce an improved user interface. 

To ensure that the stored contact information for the emergency messages is up to date, we kindly ask participants to log in to the Member Section after the introduction on 27 March 2023 and go to "My Profile > Emergency Notifications" to review their provided contact information such as e-mail address and phone number. If required, please make updates to ensure a reliable communication. Kindly make sure to review your stored contact information on an annual basis.

QCS Application - Confirmation of practical experience 

The Admission Administrator is now able to confirm, as part of the admission, sufficient expertise of applicants to perform the Qualified Clearing Staff (QCS) functions. There are two options to do so:

• the Admission Administrator confirms the qualification directly in the admission application
• in case the Admission Administrator is not able to confirm the qualification, they can upload a document received by the Compliance Officer that confirms the qualification in the admission application

The upload functionality is only available for Admission Administrators as part of their profile.
