Eurex Clearing
Dear Client,
Eurex Exchange has constructively discussed the topic Eurex Buy-Side Trading Disclosure (EBSTD), as announced in Eurex Clearing circular 037/23, over the past months and understood that introducing the EBSTD would make the Fee Identification Code de facto mandatory for Clearing Members.
As the short-term implementation of the Fee Identification Code is challenging due to a strain on our Members' budgets and resources, Eurex has taken the decision to put the implementation of the EBSTD – in its current form – on hold until further notice.
While the functional launch of the initiative, including the registration for the program as well as the start of the fee differentiation, will be put on hold, the technical launch will take place as planned with the C7 FIXML, C7 GUI and report changes, as announced in Eurex Clearing Newsflash of 27 July 2023.
The Fee Identification Code has been successfully rolled out with T7 Release 11.1 and C7 Release 9.1 and is available for usage by our Clearing Members. In the process, Eurex has strongly engaged with middle- and back-office vendors to ensure their readiness in time to support Clearing Members' implementations.
On that basis, and going forward, Eurex will use the Fee Identification Code as the architecture of choice to implement any upcoming fee measures.
Required action
Clients should be aware that the Eurex Buy-Side Trading initiative will not be functionally launched until further notice.
Kind regards,
Your Client Services Team
