Deutsche Börse Group will launch Release 14.1 of the T7 trading system on Monday, 18 May 2026. Please refer to the dedicated document “T7 Release 14.1 Final Release Notes” for a full overview of both the new and changed functional scope. 3. Details
A. Backward compatibility
T7 Release 14.1 will provide backward compatibility for the T7 ETI/FIX LF and EDCI interfaces version of T7 Release 14.0, which means even participants who do not want to use the new functionality will still be able to connect to T7 with the interface layout version 14.0 after the production launch of T7 Release 14.1.
The interfaces for public market and reference data, including EOBI, EMDI, MDI, RDI/RDF as well as reports and data files will not provide backward compatibility.
B. Mandatory implementation of new ETI order entry requests
Participants intending to use T7 Release 14.1 are required to migrate to the new ETI order entry request layouts. While the ETI interface itself remains backward compatible, the existing order entry request layouts will no longer be supported for Release 14.1. Therefore, customers must switch to the new order entry requests in order to use Release 14.1 functionality in production.
For further details, please refer to Eurex Readiness Newsflash: T7 Release 14.1: Mandatory Implementation of New ETI Order Entry Requests and Decommissioning of Support for TLS 1.2.
C. Introduction of T7 Web Admin GUI and decommissioning of Java-based T7 Clearer GUI
With T7 Release 14.1, the browser-based T7 Web Admin GUI will be introduced. In parallel, the Java-based T7 Clearer GUI is being phased out in line with the published decommissioning timeline.
Users of the Java-based T7 Clearer GUI are requested to migrate to the browser-based T7 Web Clearer in due time.
For further details, please refer to Eurex Circular 015/26: Next Generation T7 Web Based GUIs: Decommissioning timeline for current Java-based GUIs.
D. Preparations for Friday, 15 May 2026 and Saturday, 16 May 2026
On Friday, 15 May 2026, T7 Release 14.0 will be in production for the last time. Reports for the business day 15 May 2026 can be expected at the usual time.
On Saturday, 16 May 2026, Deutsche Börse will convert the T7 production system to Release 14.1 and initial reference data for business day 18 May 2026 will be available via RDI and RDF following the start of the system in preparation for the support window.
E. Support window and important information for T7 Release 14.1
This section details the upcoming support window and essential information for the T7 Release 14.1 production launch on Monday, 18 May 2026.
Support window on Saturday, 16 May 2026 (15:00 – 18:00 CEST)
Connectivity testing during the support window is strongly recommended for all participants and Multi-Member Service Providers to ensure connectivity for the start of trading on Monday, 18 May 2026.
Please make sure that a staff member will be available to perform the login to the T7 production system (e.g. T7 Trader- and/or Admin GUI and third-party applications).
At this time, the T7 production system will be available for connectivity testing on the ETI, FIX LF, RDI, MDI, EMDI and EOBI interfaces and via the T7 Admin GUI (Java-based and web-based), the T7 Clearer GUI (web-based) and the T7 Trader GUI (Java-based).
No order and quote entries will be possible.
Start of Day: During the support window, at approximately 15:30 CEST, all products in the T7 production systems will be set to "Start of Day" providing participants with the opportunity to perform their regular start of day activities:
Area | Availability / special processes |
Market Data: |
|
ETI and FIX LF: |
|
EDCI: |
|
Connection Test Message: | During the support window a message “Connection Test Eurex <hh:mm:ss>” appears with an increasing sequence number in the market news view (news board) of the T7 Trader GUI and the T7 Admin GUI. |
FIX LF MsgSeqNum’s: | Please note that after the connection test, MsgSeqNum’s (inbound and outbound) will not be reset upon the next start of day/start of the FIX Gateway. |
Support window updates: Deutsche Börse will inform participants about the general progress of the support window via implementation news on the Eurex website available under the link: Implementation News
Following the end of the support window, the T7 14.1 production system will be shut down on Saturday, 16 May 2026 at 18:00 CEST and remain unavailable until Sunday evening.
ETI password encryption: Important change
For the production start of T7 Release 14.1 a new public key for ETI password encryption will be created (sequence number 4), making the key with sequence number 2 obsolete.
To ensure a smooth transition, participants are strongly recommended to migrate to the key with sequence number 3 immediately.
A logon with the key with sequence number 2 will no longer be possible once the key with sequence number 4 is created.
The encryption must be done using Deutsche Börse's public RSA key.
Participants are advised to always use the latest public key provided in the Session Logon Response message. Once Release 14.1 is activated, the response will contain the newest key (sequence number 4), including the PublicKey (tag 25233) and the associated LatestPublicKeySeqNo (tag 25243).
The latest public RSA key will be published prior to the connection test on Saturday, 16 May 2026 and can be downloaded from the ETI documentation website under T7 Release 14.1 > System Documentation > Enhanced Trading Interface or obtained from a successful ETI session logon response message.
F. Monday, 18 May 2026 – Production Start
The first trading day with T7 Release 14.1 will start as usual.
Please note: As the system will be re-started Sunday evening after the connection test on Saturday, the initial reference data file for the business day 18 May 2026 will be re-generated.
As the reference data provided on 16 May 2026 via RDI and RDF prior to the support window may potentially contain some changes, participants are required to use the initial reference data provided following the system start for 18 May 2026.
Persistent orders entered until the end of trading on 15 May 2026 but not executed, will remain available on 18 May 2026, unless other validity restrictions apply.
A list of any items that are relevant prior to the production start of T7 Release 14.1 will be provided as of 15 May 2026. This “known limitations” list will be available on the dedicated initiative page via the path: T7 Release 14.1 > System Documentation > Production.
