Sponsored Access: Amendments to General Terms and Conditions to the Connection Agreement, Provider Connection Agreement and Price List with effect from 1 January 2026

Eurex Circular 104/25 Sponsored Access: Amendments to General Terms and Conditions to the Connection Agreement, Provider Connection Agreement and Price List with effect from 1 January 2026

1.  Introduction

The Executive Board of Eurex Frankfurt AG has decided with effect from 1 January 2026 the following amendments to the

  • Price List to the Connection Agreement and Provider Connection Agreement (hereafter: Price List)
  • General Terms and Conditions to the Agreement on the technical connection and the utilization of the Exchange-EDP of Eurex Deutschland (hereafter: GTC Connection Agreement) and
  • General Terms and Conditions to the Agreement on the technical connection of a Multi-Member System Provider to the Exchange-EDP Eurex (hereafter: GTC Provider Connection Agreement).

The amendments include:

  • Introduction of Sponsored Access, as defined by MiFID II DEA, at Eurex Deutschland
  • Corresponding addition to the connection fees for technical connections according to the Price List, Number 1.1 “Monthly fees for the technical connection to T7 (connectivity fees)”
  • Corresponding changes to the utilization limits of the GTC Connection Agreement, § 2 “Utilization of the Exchange-EDP“ respectively the GTC Provider Connection Agreement, § 3 “Technical Connection to Exchange-EDP”

Production start: 1 January 2026

2.  Required action

For Trading Participants who wish to utilize the Sponsored Access offering, a self-guided registration tool via the Member Section of Deutsche Börse has been available since 10 November 2025.

3.  Details of the initiative

A. Background

With the introduction of Sponsored Access at Eurex Deutschland, Eurex Frankfurt AG aims to expand its access portfolio to suit the needs of a variety of customers, including ultra low-latency trading firms. The new access route will enable Trading Participants to Sponsor their clients (Sponsored Access Users), offering direct access to Eurex’ trading platform.

Sponsored Access Users do not need to hold a current Eurex Trading Participant admission in order to benefit from this service. 

B. Set-up and registration process

The registration process of both, Sponsored Access Providers and Sponsored Access Users, is done via a self-guided tool available in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse.

Sponsored Access Providers, will own Trading IDs and Trading Sessions, maintain control of the risk limits and functionality set at the Exchange. As of 10 November 2025, registration as a Sponsored Access Provider and/or Sponsored Access User has been possible. 

The amended sections of the Price List, GTC Connection Agreement and GTC Provider Connection Agreement are attached to this circular. Pursuant to § 9 of the General Terms and Conditions of the Agreement Concerning the Technical Connection and the Utilization of the Exchange EDP of Eurex Deutschland (Connection Agreement), Eurex Frankfurt AG is entitled to amend the General Terms and Conditions at any time, having due regard to the interests of the Trading Participant. Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions will be notified to Trading Participants at least six (6) weeks prior to their effective date. They are deemed to have been approved if the Trading Participant does not lodge objections in writing with Eurex Frankfurt AG within six (6) weeks of notification of the amendment.
