Equity Derivatives: Harmonization of Corporate Actions processing as part of C7 Release 12.0

Eurex Circular 101/25 Equity Derivatives: Harmonization of Corporate Actions processing as part of C7 Release 12.0

1.    Introduction

The Management Board of Eurex Deutschland took the following decision:

  • Amendment of the Contract Specifications for Futures Contracts and Options Contracts at Eurex Deutschland (hereafter referred to as: Contract Specifications) according to the Attachment

To implement the above decision, the Contract Specifications will be amended with effect from 14 November 2025.

This circular contains all information on the introduction of the new products and the updated sections of the relevant Rules and Regulations of Eurex Deutschland.

Production start: 14 November 2025

2.    Required action

There is no action required for participation.

3.    Details

To bring corporate action processing in line with European clearing houses practices, Eurex Clearing will modify how stock options (OSTK) are adjusted following corporate action events. When a capital adjustment results in a fractional trading unit, the new methodology will round the lot size to the nearest whole share. The resulting difference will be settled though an equalization payment, calculated based on the series settlement price and processed as an option premium on the corporate action effective date.

The amended sections of the Contract Specifications can be found in the Attachment.

The full version of the updated Contract Specifications for Futures Contracts and Options Contracts at Eurex Deutschland will be published on the Eurex website www.eurex.com as of start of trading under: Contract Specifications.
