Eurex Repo F7, Simulation and Advanced Simulation, renewal of broker/server certificates, IMPORTANT, action required !

The following change only affects API/POA applications. The usage of the F7 Trader GUI and F7 FIX interface is not affected by this change.

On Thursday, October 24th, 2024 Eurex Repo will install new broker/server certificates in the F7 Simulation and in the F7 Advanced Simulation environment, as the current Eurex Repo F7 API broker/server certificates for Simulation will expire in December 2024.

These new broker/server certificates for Eurex Repo F7 API will be installed in Simulation and Advanced Simulation after the end of business on the evening of Thursday, October 24th, 2024.

F7 API client applications connecting to F7 Simulation or F7 Advanced Simulation will need to add these new broker/server certificates to their truststores to be able to connect to Simulation after October 24th, 2024.

The new broker/server certificates can be downloaded and added alongside existing certificates in existing truststores at any convenient point in time prior to October 24th, 2024.

Please download the new broker/server certificates for simulation for the Deutsche Börse Member Section by following this path:

https://membersection.deutsche-boerse.com > Resources > Eurex Repo > System Documentation > Access and Certificates

  • F7_BrokerCertsSimu_20241024.zip
  • F7_BrokerCertsAdvSimu_20241024.zip

These new certificates, once extracted from the ZIP file, can be added to your existing truststore (using a new alias) for example by using commands like the ones outlined below:

keytool –import –file simu-f7-api_eurexrepo_com.crt –keystore <PATH TO YOUR TRUSTSTORE> -alias f7apiserver2025simu

keytool –import –file simu-f7-api_vpn_eurexrepo_com.crt –keystore <PATH TO YOUR TRUSTSTORE> -alias f7apivpnserver2025simu

keytool –import –file advsimu-f7-api_eurexrepo_com.crt –keystore <PATH TO YOUR TRUSTSTORE> -alias f7apiserver2025advsimu

keytool –import –file advsimu-f7-api_vpn_eurexrepo_com.crt –keystore <PATH TO YOUR TRUSTSTORE> -alias f7apivpnserver2025advsimu

See chapter 7.1 of the document “Eurex Repo F7 Connectivity Guide” (can be downloaded from the same location in the Member Section) for general details on handling broker/server certificates in F7 API.

Additionally both ZIP files contain the trusted root certificate and the intermediate certificate of the signing certificate authority DigiCert, version G2 (also available here) to be used in case a client hasn't received these automatically via OS updates. See this article for details.

Please note: Broker/server certificates for F7 Production will be replaced on November 9th, 2024.
