Eurex Repo Readiness Newsflash | Eurex Repo F7 Preliminary Release Notes 4.2 – FIX Upgrade and Mandatory API Upgrade

Dear Participants,

With this Newsflash, Eurex Repo announces that the Preliminary Release Notes for F7 Release 4.2 are now available in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse Group.
 
To further enhance its trading infrastructure, Eurex Repo is planning to launch F7 Release 4.2 on 25 November 2024.

Eurex Repo provides a dedicated simulation environment to give customers the opportunity to perform comprehensive testing of their trading applications, independent from Eurex Repo’s production environment. The simulation period for F7 Release 4.2 is currently planned to start on 7 October 2024. Please note that the current production software is always available for testing in the advanced simulation environment.

F7 Release 4.2 includes GUI enhancements, a mandatory F7 API change and an F7 FIX Gateway upgrade.

API users (including ISVs) will be provided a new set of updated XSDs, XML message examples and an updated user manual describing all changes in detail.

FIX Gateway users will be provided an updated FIX Gateway manual, FIX44.XML and example messages.

All GUI, API and FIX Gateway documentation will be available in the Member Section prior to the start of the simulation period.
 
F7 Release 4.2 includes the following changes:

  • Identifying Break Term trades

F7 GUI-specific enhancements 

  • Repo Asset Managers 
  • Disclosed quotes by Buy-Side
  • Position Board to accept Symbol and Name

F7 API-specific enhancements

  • Repo Asset Managers 
  • Buy-Side quoting
  • Identifying Break Term trades

F7 FIX Gateway-specific enhancements

  • Repo Asset Managers 
  • Disclosed quotes by Buy-Side
  • Identifying Break Term trades
  • Smaller changes

F7 MTX-specific enhancements 

  • Repo Asset Managers 
  • Disclosed quotes by Buy-Side
  • Identifying Break Term trades

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message. 

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
